NIKOLAOS KESSANLIS

Artist

Nikos Kessanlis was a Greek visual artist who was born in 1930. Nikos Kessanlis has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki and at the Frissiras Museum. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ‘Je m’ appele Nikos’ sold at Bonhams New Bond Street ‘The Greek Sale’ in 2007 for $131,072. There have been many articles about Nikos Kessanlis, including ‘Keeping It Real: Subversive Abstraction, Whitechapel Art Gallery, London’ written by Charles Derwent for The Independent in 2010. The artist died in 2004.
