GIANNIS PAPANELOPOULOS

Artist

Born in Athens in 1936.

He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under the supervisor of academic professor I. Moralis ( 1954 /1957). Then he followed studies in the Free Institute of Fine Arts with Professor P. Tetsis.

His themes substitute neorealist searches centered on landscapes, humans, neoclassical interior houses with initiated interest for the color sensitivity in controlled compositions in which tumors have a high plasticity.

His works have been purchased by the Ministry of Culture, the National Gallery, the Museum Pierides and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and can be found in important private collections around the world.
